Technologies for Poorly Soluble Drugs

Over the past 10 yrs new drug approvals have halved and only 10-20% of new drug candidates are now successful, 40% of the failures are attributed to poor biopharmaceutical properties (ACS) which is the key driver for advances in formulation and drug delivery technology. The Pharmaceutical Innovation CIC offers pharmaceutical companies access to a suite of technologies for enhancing the administration of drugs to pharmacological sites of action with a view to enhanced safety and efficacy using proven and cost effective processing technology.

The PI CIC offer a range of techniques to enhance aqueous solubility and dissolution rates. We have a cost effective structured approach to resolving the problem using a number of different technologies. For example our approach to a poorly soluble solid dosage form
