Monday 13th November, 2006 New start-up company at the IPI
Dena Systems BK Ltd (Dena) and the University of Bradford announce the formation of a new collaborative start-up company, Lena Nanoceutics Ltd. (Lena).
The company will make use of the engineering expertise of Dena and the formulation development knowledge of the Institute of Pharmaceutical Innovation (IPI) to develop novel nano-particle formulations for improved drug delivery.
The new company will be housed in the IPI’s bioscience business incubation unit.
“This is a great opportunity to develop our nano-particle reactor technology for a new, highly specialised market” said Brian Suleiman, founder of Dena, “it is an exciting opportunity that can only be good for both parties”.
“The formation of Lena Nanoceuticals is a practical example of how the IPI’s innovation model works to bring together academic and industrial expertise”, commented Paul Thorning, Director of the IPI.
