Thursday 4th September, 2008 IPI Seminar: ‘Formulating a Fixed Dose, Anti-malarial Drug Combination’
Chinyere Okwelogu from the University of Lagos will shortly be finishing a period of study at the IPI. She will be delivering a talk to present her work carried out at the IPI “Formulating a Fixed Dose, Anti-malarial Drug Combination”
Chinyere’s work is on a fixed-dose formulation of Artesunate and Amodiaquine Hydrochloride. These are two anti-malarial drugs approved by WHO as combination therapy against resistant malarial.
Her talk will cover:
1) Establishing an HPLC assay method for the drugs
2) Formulating stable combination of these drugs
3) Carrying out stability studies on the formulations
This seminar will take place at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Innovation:
