Monday 7th January, 2008 Dr Tai-Ping Fan to present seminar at IPI
Dr Tai-Ping Fan from the department of Pharmacology, University of Cambridge will be presenting a seminar entitled;
“Traditional Chinese Medcine (TCM) in Drug Discovery – Why, What and How?”
On Tuesday, January 15th at 2pm in the IPI conference room, 2.11
Dr Tai-Ping Fan has established a platform for the investigation of the angiogenesis-modulating effects of pure compounds from traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and other natural products. His group aims to identify the actives from plant extracts, test their activities and elucidate their mechanisms of action at the cellular and molecular levels. His collaborators include, Hong Kong Baptist University, NuLiv Science (Taipei), Dr Cristin Print and colleagues of Department of Pathology Cambridge and Dr Kathryn Lilley of the Department of Biochemistry Cambridge.
