Monday 31st March, 2008 Centres of Industrial Collaboration win top European award
The IPI Centre of Industrial Collaboration as part of the region’s Centres of Industrial Collaboration (CICs) have won the RegioStars 2008 award for innovation.
The CICs are based in university departments across Yorkshire and Humber and connect academic experts with businesses in need of technical support.
The awards recognise examples of technological innovation across Europe that have encouraged regional economic growth. The CICs were short listed against 71 nominations from across 18 European states and won the award for technology transfer to SMEs.
