Friday 30th January, 2009 Prof. Peter York and Paul Thorning deliver plenary lectures at ICONTOX 2008

The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research Nanomaterials in Pharmaceuticals session commenced with the plenary lecture on Nanoscience and the Design of Medicines was delivered by Prof. Peter York .
The Ethical and Regulatory Issues in Nanomaterial Toxicology session commenced with the plenary lecture “Nanomaterials History, Hype and Hysteria” delivered by Paul Thorning, Director of the IPI.

Tuesday 13th January, 2009 Prof. Jamshed Anwar takes up a sabbatical at Cambridge

Prof. Jamshed Anwar takes up a sabbatical at the Centre for Computational Chemistry, University Chemical Laboratory, University of Cambridge, starting from Jan to August 2009. The sabbatical is supported by a Fellowship at Sidney Sussex College, University of Cambridge. During his sabbatical, Prof. Anwar intends to develop methodology to calculate surface free energies of crystals of drug molecules with aim of underpinning the stability of nanocrystals.
