The new Institute of Cancer Therapeutics building, located next to the IPI, is now nearing completion. The new Institute will house additional bioscience business incubation units, doubling the capacity of our incubation programme.

Wednesday 28th June, 2006 Young Company of the Year Award for Syntopix Ltd
At the Bioscience Yorkshire awards dinner on Thursday 22 June Syntopix picked up the Young Company of the Year award. This award is for the regional company, less than 3 years old, which has demonstrated the greatest business development in the last 12 months. Since moving into the Bradford Bioscience Incubator last year, the workforce has doubled to twelve members of staff, twenty patent applications have been submitted and a successful £4m floatation on the Alternative Investment Market completed. The money raised through the AIM floatation will be used to get Syntopix first two products into the market place, generating further revenues for further development of their impressive product pipeline.

Wednesday 28th June, 2006 Recognition of Advancement Award for AGT Sciences
The recent achievements of AGT Sciences Ltd were honoured at the Bioscience Yorkshire Awards dinner on Thursday 22 June.
The company receiverd the Recognition of Advancement award for their continued growth, the range of collaborative relationships developed and for attracting funding in the national arena in the past 12 months went. AGT Siences have continued to grow their impressive portfolio in the healthcare, diagnostics and drug delivery areas through a range of collaborations with the University of Bradford and a number of companies with national and international presence. AGT’s lead diagnostic product for the treatment of skin ulcers has now passed a major milestone with clinical trials approval being given.
