But scientists at Bradford University say the comparatively new science of manipulating matter on an ultra-small scale could revolutionise health care, speed up computers and herald new “smart” materials such as self-cleaning glass.By ultra-small, scientists mean a millionth of a millimetre. Or 80,000 times thinner than a human hair.
Thursday 1st July, 2004 University earns top business contract
The University will become home to another of the regional development agency’s pioneering Centres of Industrial Collaboration (CIC) specialising in pharmaceutical science.
It will be the second CIC to be established at the University – along with the Polymer CIC – and is one of five new centres announced today.
