Prosthetic Solutions Ltd

Prosthetic Solutions was founded in mid 2005 by Professor Alan Roberts with the aim of supplying a wide range of silicone based prosthetic devices for use mainly in the clinical field.

Whilst working within the NHS, Professor Roberts is also a visiting Professor at the Universities of Bradford and as well as holding an honorary degree from the University of Leeds.

Professor Roberts chose to locate Prosthetic Solutions in the IPI incubator because of its unique and prestigious position at the interface between academia and industry and the extensive range of support services on offer.

Prosthetic Solutions have recently gained CE marking for their first product. Following on from successful clinical trials, MHRA marketing approval has also been granted.. The product, marketed as Zeflowsil, is a new adhesive for attaching prostheses to skin. The clinical trials demonstrated the effectiveness of Zeflowsil and patients consistently preferred it to the current market leading product.
