MSc PhD FRSC CChem

Research interests:

1) Application of mathematical models appropriate for predicting molecular and relevant analytical
properties in spectroscopy and separation science

2) Examination of capillary electrophoresis(CE), CE-MS/MS and HPLC MS/MS as analytical tools for
robust separation and determination of drugs and
related substances.

3) Collaborative bioanalytical programmes in new
formulation of drugs for inhaled therapy
(collaboration with Prof Chrystyn and Dr Assi)

4) Development of novel procedures to prepare and
formulate inhaled products based on microemulsion
and supercritical fluid technologies (collaboration with Prof York/ Chrystyn).

Current research projects:

1) Application of CE with laser-induced fluorescence detection for high sensitivity assays of drugs.
2) Analysis of drugs in inhaled products, prepared through supercritical fluid methods.

3) Bioanalysis of inhaled drugs (3 projects)
