The Institute of Pharmaceutical Innovation (IPI), at the University of Bradford, is a flagship research facility dedicated to supporting innovation in drug development and drug delivery.

Research

Academic research in the IPI focuses on the global need to accelerate the drug development process. Our research aims to transform molecules and biologicals into quality medicines. Within this focused activity, the latest computational and experimental techniques are applied, by a multidisciplinary research team with solid industrial experience.

Industrial Collaboration

Our emphasis is on translational research addressing the priorities of the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industries. Through collaborative research and contract services we offer our industrial customers flexibility and professional delivery. The IPI is an accredited Centre of Industrial Collaboration (CIC).

Innovation

Innovation is at the heart of our activity. The IPI brings together strong science and in-depth market understanding. We develop new technologies and help organisations to develop their own technologies for pharmaceutical markets. Through our incubation programme we support the start-up and growth of high potential companies.


Collaborative research: Our international science programme focuses on advanced pharmaceutics, drug delivery and new predictive tools to optimise drug development.


Contract Services: We deliver professionally managed contract research services to industry in the areas of Drug Formulation, Pharmaceutical Analysis and Market Research.


Bioincubation: Our business incubator provides support infrastructure for start-up companies to enable the commercialisation of bioscience innovation.
